Proceed with caution!

Hi Annaliese ~
Just got done reading you 3 part series on you medical challenge..
I so much appreciate that you do not just ‘dis’ western medicine but still use what helps you..
It is nice to hear the balance you try to keep with S.E. ~
And not make western medicine the ‘enemy’ but you acknowledge that all medical modalities can work together as each person needs.
Thanks for sharing this with others..
And first of all a big THANK YOU for sharing the cd’s with me,,
They comfort & strengthen, & are doing a healing at a leavel that I am not totally aware of,,,
And my soul is comforted by the words & statements just as strongly as the power of the Holy Spirit strengthens my spirit & soul thru the word of God,,the bible..
I feel S. E. Factoring in our humanity….and it is done in a very practical way …
I can not wholly grasp totally the gift of S.E. To mankind,,
Any more than I can full grasp the God I know …for His ways are not our ways…
Yet my God is all about what is best for each person in the whole wide world…
Even tho it is hard for me at times..to believe God is there for me.
Rainie

Over the past year i have had a series of troubling diagnoses. I recognize the mind-body connect. I have started working with a SEP.she is good, but what more shall I do? Are there communities helping each other with this? I don’t want to change professions, but eager to reduce fear, anxiety which elludes me still.

Comment on For the Overwhelmed, Physical Sensations Can Soothe by Laura J. When I mute volume (to cut out the squeals of laughter), I find the clip even more revelatory—esp. the second “aftershock” at 0:40.

I’ve been hugely traumatized by the medical system . . them using anethesia even though i emphasized i didn’t want it . . .etc. When Drs. violate patient consent in order to do fast food procedures it is extraordinarily damaging to patients. More Drs. are using Versed for their patients who have EGDs to make them “forget” the procedure & to make them very compliant & less bothersome. GIs use it as standard procedure now for a lot of patients & it is very traumatizing for a lot of folks out there . .i have read about lots of others who consent is violated adults as well as children. This needs to stop. THANK YOU! you sound like a wonderful Dr. & a wonderful human! <3

Yes, I agree with you. While the situation in Rwanda is a particularly forceful example of collective trauma, it points to something that is present around the globe these days.
I agree that the lessons that this part of the world has to teach offers the hope of a wider transformation.
Best wishes,
Jon

I love these articles and I can see how important this is to reach people across the globe who are suffering from various forms of trauma. Even our adolescents in the West and countless more people going through significant growth periods can be hindered in recovery without feeling supported; we lose so many beautiful people as they slip through the cracks.
The principles of everything you have written truly are globally relevant to heal the wound of separation that you have alluded to throughout this.
Thank you for the amazing work you are doing and what you have shared, it’s very inspiring!
