The work was led by a community-driven Ethics Work Group, and SEI leadership and staff continued to lay the groundwork to appropriately handle ethics inquiries and grievances. Currently, our Ethics &amp; Grievance Committee has three focal points for our monthly meetings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We employ outside legal counsel to keep our documents current and accurate and provide overall guidance to the Committee<\/li>\n<li>We review grievances as they are submitted<\/li>\n<li>We provide education and support to the SE community around ethics-related within our U.S.-based trainings that directly violates SEI\u2019s Code of Ethics. These filings are kept as confidential as possible, in accordance with our Code of Ethics, and they are kept on file at SEI<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_button_module_wrapper et_pb_button_3_wrapper\"><a class=\"et_pb_button_3 et_pb_button et_pb_bg_layout_dark et_pb_module et_block_module\" href=\"https:\/\/app.hellosign.com\/s\/5l6lcLGN\" target=\"_blank\">GRIEVANCE FORM<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_column_9 et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_2 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough orngoverlay\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_5 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module paragraph-size\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">COMPLAINT<\/h2>\n<p>A <strong><em>complaint<\/em><\/strong> is all other issues or concerns around SEI, including but not limited to complaints around Admissions, Assisting, CE's, Faculty, Financial Support, Registration, Scholarships, etc. This is not related to our Code of Ethics and is not handled by SEI\u2019s Legal Department or Ethics &amp; Grievance Committee. They are also establishing more processes and procedures, after which time the Committee will meet quarterly. You can expect the grievance to be reviewed within three to four months. You will be kept informed by the Legal Affairs &amp; Ethics Manager.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_accordion_item_6 et_pb_accordion_item et_pb_toggle et_pb_module et_pb_toggle_close et_block_module\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Can I file a grievance anonymously?<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content\"><p>Anonymous grievances will not be heard or processed through the Grievance Procedure. However, should the Ethics Committee receive a written, anonymous grievance, a record will be kept by SEI\u2019s office for a period of three (3) years.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_accordion_item_7 et_pb_accordion_item et_pb_toggle et_pb_module et_pb_toggle_close et_block_module\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">I am afraid of retaliation. Where does SEI stand with this?<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content\"><p>SEI does not tolerate retaliation. No individual who in good faith reports a violation of a law or regulation requirement shall suffer harassment, retaliation, or adverse employment consequence. An employee who retaliates against someone who has reported a violation in good faith is subject to discipline up to and including termination of employment.
