I have a wealth of life experience and 25 years’ experience in the helping professions. People I work with get a strong sense that I’ve “been there and done that” as well as having been trained in these areas. I think it’s important that a client feels that the counsellor relates to their problem on a personal level as well as knowing how to help theoretically.
My empathic, non-judgemental and compassionate nature quickly helps put people at ease. My varied life experience has given me the ability to work with all issues on all levels. My awareness enables me to help others move forward in their own lives.
My training and subsequent qualification have given me an even wider range of skills and perception.
I adhere to BACP’s standards and guidelines for ethical practice and incorporate solid boundaries into my work. I treat everyone equally, acknowledge and respect diversity and have an appreciative awareness of cultural issues.
My main aim in life is to make a difference to the lives of others.
I have enhanced CRB clearance.
